To find out what kind of a restaurant we should open here at Smith Mountain Lake, we talked to a large number of locals. What they told us was that they wanted a breakfast restaurant that served breakfast all day with made to order eggs and omelets. They wanted consistently made food at reasonable prices, nothing fancy just simple, good food with good, friendly service.

We designed the Old Oak Cafe to be comfortable and homey in what we call “contemporary rustic” with a menu that would appeal to as many different palates as possible taking into account the geographically diversity of the culture of SML. AND we decided to serve breakfast starting at 7:00am until we close at 2:00pm, eggs made to order!

Our lunch menu has something for everyone also, starting with house seasoned ground beef, hand pattied daily and served on a grilled bun. We have nice selection of sandwiches, a large salad bar with 45+ ingredients, a soup and chili station, and good, crispy fries and onion rings. Old Oak Cafe also serves your favorite coffee house drinks.
